The story of the bodybuilder Kevin Levron.
Kevin Levron can rightfully be called a unique person in the world of bodybuilding. Despite the difficult trials of fate that he had to experience in his life, he never gave up and did not lose heart, continuing to move forward. It was a strong character that helped Kevin Levron not to leave the race and achieve impressive results in sports.
Kevin Levrone was born on July 16, 1965. The joy of childhood was overshadowed when the boy turned 10 years old – he lost his father. This sad event shocked Kevin very much. In order to somehow get rid of sad thoughts, he begins to engage in bodybuilding.
After graduating from college, Kevin starts a small construction company. And everything seems to be going well, but it becomes known that his mother is sick with cancer. Kevin was 24 years old at the time. He was very worried about his mother, he did not want to do anything. The only activity that brought a little relief was training. He completely immersed himself in them.
After the loss of his second loved one, Kevin goes headlong into bodybuilding. The first success awaited him in 1990 at one of the state championships. Perhaps he would not have taken part in the competition if it had not been for his friends who convinced him to do so. And as it turned out, it was not in vain.
The next year was very significant for the young athlete – he won the US National Championship. A dizzying career begins as an IFBB professional.
Injuries in the life of Kevin Levron
It is unlikely that you can find an athlete whose career would not have been without injuries. Kevin also did not manage to avoid this fate – some of his injuries were so serious that he did not even want to go to the simulators anymore.
The first serious injury occurred in 1993, when his right pectoral muscle was torn during a bench press of a heavy weight of 226,5 kg.
In 2003, after squatting with a weight of 320 kg, doctors made a disappointing diagnosis – an infringement of an inguinal hernia.
In addition, Kevin had many ruptured vessels. Doctors warned that the risk of bleeding into the abdominal cavity is very high. The specialists saved the athlete’s life. After the operation, Kevin came to his senses for a very long time, he didn’t even want to think about any training. Doctors strictly forbade the bodybuilder to perform physical exercises for at least six months. He adhered to this rule and during the rehabilitation he was finally able to feel what life really is without exhausting training – a lot of free time appeared, and he could do whatever he wanted.
The long break made its result – Kevin lost weight to 89 kg. No one believed that he would be able to return to professional sports and achieve outstanding results. But he proved the opposite – in 2002, Kevin finished second at Olympia.
The victory inspired the athlete so much that he made a statement that he was not going to leave bodybuilding for at least 3 more years. But in 2003 after “The Power Show” he stops participating in all kinds of competitions and completely devotes himself to acting.
Today, Kevin Levrone operates gyms located in Maryland and Baltimore. In addition, he annually organizes the “Classic” competition, the income from which is redirected to the fund for helping sick children.
