One more year, the IV Route of the Madrileño Cocido is launched, a gastronomic conference promoted by the regional government through the Department of the Environment and Spatial Planning of the Community of Madrid. Madrileños and visitors will be able to enjoy one of the most acclaimed recipes in the region in the 26 participating restaurants.
This initiative was institutionally inaugurated yesterday by Ricardo Riquelme, General Director of the Environment, at La Posada del León in the Casa Pello restaurant (Calle Alberto Alcocer, 49) with the Awards Ceremony of the III Madrid Stew Route (2013).
The award-winning establishments, chosen by the public, are:

In the IV Route of the Madrileño Cocido, diners can vote for their favorite stew through the more than 50.000 booklets that will be distributed in the establishments adhering to the initiative.
The categories are as follows:

With a single stamp on the card, you can access the Prize for its weight in wine, its weight in oil and its weight in chickpeas from Madrid and a batch of Pozo coffees, sponsoring company of the IV Madrid Cocido Route.
The number of diners participating in the Madrileño Cocido Route increases every year. In the first edition, more than 4.000 people enjoyed this delicious dish. In the last edition (2013), the figure reached 9.800 people. The data reveals the growing success of the initiative, whose primary objective is to enhance the quality of Madrid’s gastronomy through its most emblematic dish: the cooked.
But the IV Ruta del Cocido Madrileño aims to promote not only the consumption of such a traditional dish: it is also about highlighting the high quality of Madrid Foods, used in the preparation of this traditional recipe.
