As parents, we are willing to do anything to make sure our children grow up happy and healthy. We vaccinate them against various diseases, we worry about their runny nose, sometimes we regard the high temperature as a worldwide disaster. Unfortunately, not all parents know that they are risking the health of their children by overloading them with drugs and meat diets instead of a cholesterol-free diet.
The presence of meat in the diet of a child will negatively affect his health in both the short and long term. Meat products are filled with hormones, dioxins, heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics and other unnecessary, harmful substances. Some antibiotics found in chicken meat are based on arsenic. Herbicides and pesticides are irrigated on crops, which are then fed to farm animals – the poisons are 14 times more concentrated in meat than in vegetables. Since the toxins are in the flesh, they cannot be washed away. According to the US Department of Agriculture, meat consumption is responsible for 70% of food poisoning cases each year. This is not surprising, given the fact that the meat is infected with dangerous bacteria such as E. coli, salmonella, campylobacteriosis.
Unfortunately, not only adults are exposed to the bad consequences of these facts. Statistics have shown that the above pathogens can be fatal to children. Benjamin Spock, MD, author of a well-known book on child care, wrote: . Indeed, a complete vegetarian diet can provide a child with protein, calcium, vitamins for health and strength. A vegan diet is free of the fats, cholesterol, and chemical toxins found in fish, chicken, pork, and other meat products.
