A photo frame (10 × 15 cm) in raw wood
16 small colored pencils
Neoprene glue
Fine sandpaper
- /
Step 1:
Choose your colored pencils and arrange them on the frame to find the right harmony.
Ask Mom or Dad to run a stroke of fine sandpaper on the wood of the photo frame so that the glue sets well.
Sharpen your colored pencils on both sides.

Step 2:
In width, you can place 6 pencils. In height, only 4. So that they are at the right dimension, do not hesitate to re-cut the side where, usually, the lead does not protrude. If the pencils are too sharp, you can run the leads across the sandpaper. That way you won’t hurt yourself.

Step 3:
Apply a bead of glue on the four edges of the frame. Leave to dry for two minutes so that the pencils adhere more easily afterwards.
- /
Step 4:
Place a bead of glue on one of the edges of each pencil. Then place your pencils, as you go, around the edge of the frame, pressing a little so that it sticks well.

Step 5:
Leave to dry for 30 minutes before touching it again to slip on your favorite photo.
To prevent the tips of the pencils from breaking when you handle the frame, you can apply a drop of transparent nail polish to the end of each lead.
