The couple wanted the interior of their home to reflect the uniqueness of their personalities. It seems that they did a great job – the owners simply merge with the variegated atmosphere.
Everyone has their own dream house. British spouses Vrons and Chris, for example, dreamed of a “colorful paradise”. Fashionable nowadays white and beige made them bored and bored: who needs minimalism, when you can paint the world around you in all the colors of the rainbow! The mansion became such a world for them, which cost the couple 220 thousand pounds – about 23 million in rubles.
“Inside the house was ordinary, faded – white, beige, no hint of design. We saved for a long time to start working on the interior after the move. We wanted to create the perfect place where both of us would be happy, where guests would be happy to come, ”says Vrons.
They spent a fortune on repairs. It is even difficult to calculate the size of the investment: it took a year and a half to transform the mansion. Some things were bought at sales, at auctions on the Internet, and something was made to order or even by ourselves.
“We started in the living room. Here we wanted to create a place for entertainment. So we donated the dining table and made our own mini-bar, and as we found out during the quarantine, it was an ingenious decision, ”continues Vrons.
The couple quarantined among the buckets of paint – they used every free minute to add color to their surroundings. Kitchen cabinets were repainted in bright turquoise with gold and gold fittings, refrigerators – in pink, the wall above the sink was tiled like dragon scales, and stars were glued to the washing machine – in such an environment it is impossible not to wake up pouring morning coffee.
The rest of the rooms are not inferior: there is even a multi-colored chandelier in the bedroom, not to mention rainbow rugs and bright armchairs.
There is another bar in the courtyard: with lighting, a sign, everything is real.
The living room used to be designed in white and beige colors: white carpet, furniture of the same color, wallpaper with birds. Now there are golden palms-lamps, a bright blue sofa with multi-colored pillows, ornate mirrors.
And even the bathroom turned out to be very bright: blue tiles stylized as bird feathers, paintings in gilded frames.
The first thing that guests see at the entrance is a peacock. Not real, this is a metal statue decorated with sparkling blue stones. And in general, the most boring thing in this hallway is the wooden floor of a natural color.
“Yes, not everyone likes our house. We understand this is not for everyone. But we really like it. We wanted the house to reflect our personality, and we did it. The year spent in isolation was very happy for us, ”the couple admits. Looking at them, we readily believe: both Chris and Vrons are very bright, so they fit perfectly into the colorful atmosphere of their living room.
By the way, Chris and Vrons have preserved the traditional look of the mansion at least from the outside. Some go even further and equip the entire territory of the house in such a way that neighbors begin to hate them. One such example is in our gallery.
