Result: I gained 30 kg ! After the birth of my son, I had to start from scratch. I followed a drastic diet. I cycled, briskly walked, swimming. My trainer at the time was behind me day in and day out for ten months, forcing me to weigh-in three to four times a week. It was very hard, both physically and psychologically. It took me a year and a half. Today, I continue to train. But I think if I had had my son at 30, I might not have had the courage to come back to competition. “

“I decided to have my baby after my career. In my discipline, we finish very early. But as I have always respected my body, I continued swimming until the end of my pregnancy. It did me good, I felt light and I did not hesitate to do twists underwater… I still limited the exercises in apnea. I also did exercises until the last trimester to strengthen my arms and back. In total, I only gained 10 kg. I would have liked to have given birth in the water, but it was not possible. After the birth, I rehabilitated the perineum, and three months later, I resumed swimming, and from time to time weight training. “

“To keep myself in shape during my pregnancy, I did sit-ups until the 5th month, as well as swimming, aquagym and step until the last trimester, three times a week, but without forcing. Just for fun. What is important is regularity. The same goes for food. No way to skip a meal. On the advice of a nutritionist, I reduced the starches and fats a little and in total, I only gained 13 kg. The delivery went really well. I took the epidural, because I suffered enough during training and fighting! There, I was offered a medical solution to avoid the pain. Why deprive yourself of it? After the birth, I took full advantage of my baby for two months and I also had to wait for the episio to heal. I got back to sport gradually : abdominal reinforcements, warm-up, indoor cycling… I believe that our body has a memory, because in three months I had regained my weight, without diet. And a month and a half later, I resumed judo at the club, while continuing to breastfeed my baby. Since the start of the school year, I have resumed competition. I even won second place at the French Championships. Certainly, I have not yet regained all my muscle tone, and my stomach is still a little distended, but my mind is at the top. Thanks to my baby, I am in harmony with myself. I am more peaceful, more proud too. “

“For my oldest, I had no advice. Suddenly, I let go of the sport. I gained 25 kg and lost a lot of muscle. In addition, the delivery was quite sporty. Short, I was in a pitiful state, and with a hell of a baby-blues. So coming back to the track was not a given! I still took my bike back after two months, but for walks, and I did a spa. It did me a lot of good! I returned to sport four months after giving birth, with three strength training sessions per week and two hours of cycling per day. Eleven months later, I had regained my level by winning the French Championship! For my second, nothing to see. I cycled until my 4th month of pregnancy and swimming until full term. My delivery was smooth. I was able to get back to my bike after a month and muscular after two. “

“I didn’t expect to be pregnant. I was madly happy, but I also wanted to end my career at the Vancouver Olympics. My priority has always been the baby, but I continued training until 7 and a half months. Three a day, but without forcing, and very medically supervised. I am not a hothead! And then I worked on the technical side, not the figures to avoid the risk of falling. After the birth, I still felt very tired, but I wanted to breastfeed my baby. I resumed training after three weeks. I had lost my abs, my muscles, I was in pain all over and I had a pubalgia. I had to stop for a while and then resume, 4 to 5 hours a day. I drooled over it… But only four months after giving birth, I found myself with my partner Olivier Schoenfelder on the Olympic ice rink We came sixth ! An honorable classification. But now I know that if it takes nine months to have a baby, it takes at least as many to get back into shape. After the Games last February, I stopped my career and have been enjoying my baby to the fullest. It’s still much better than a medal. “
