Our four-legged friends literally start to beat faster when they hear this from you!
What strange research scientists are not undertaking – not all of them are useful, some are designed to entertain and delight. For example, we figured out how to please a cat. And now – from what words of the owner the dogs are delighted.
To understand this, the experts of the OneBuy portal first interviewed more than 4 thousand dog owners and found out with which words they most often refer to their pets. And then they analyzed what made the dog’s heart beat faster. The results were generally predictable.
In the first place is the word “walk!”. The prospect of going for a walk with your loved one accelerates the dog’s pulse to 156 beats per minute. But the usual pulse is from 70 to 120 beats. Powerful, right? But it is also predictable, because sometimes dogs are simply knocked off their feet when they hear about a walk.
“Food” or another invitation to dinner – in second place. “Hurray, they will feed me now!” – and the dog’s heart beats at 152 beats per minute. Moreover, if the owner uses a word that means a delicacy – delicious, for example, the dog’s pulse is slightly lower, 151 beats per minute.
The fourth place is for the permission team, for example, “can” or “let’s”… When the owner finally allows him to run, climb onto the sofa, take a treat, start eating, the dog’s heart beats at a speed of 150 beats per second.
“Aport” – and the pulse instantly accelerates to 147 beats. Everyone loves to play, and dogs love it very much. That is why in the sixth place was the word “toy” or “where is the toy?” Realizing that the fun is about to begin, the pet’s heart beats at 144 beats per minute.
“Good boy / girl” – in seventh place. A kind word is pleasant to the cat, it’s not for nothing that they say so. Praise from your beloved host is almost as much fun as playing, 139 beats per minute.
“What’s in there?” – and the dog is alert, raises its ears upright, tilts its head. This is what we see. And her heart also begins to beat at a speed of 135 beats per minute, so the dog likes this fun.
In ninth place – pet name… Call it by name, and the pulse will give 128 beats. And the team closes the top ten “Search!” This word makes a dog’s heart beat at 124 beats per minute.
