Strange insects appeared in the bathroom – what to do?
Most often, woodlice, centipedes, silverfish, butterflies make themselves felt. They can be carriers of infection, so you need to get rid of insects. Here’s how you can do it:
- prepare a solution of 1/2 l of water, 1 tsp. red pepper, 1 tsp. soda ash and 1/2 tsp. a teaspoon of tobacco. Mix and shake everything. Spray all corners, hard-to-reach places and places where insects were seen with a spray gun. In the morning of the next day, rinse everything well with a chlorine-containing product.
- Dilute boric acid with water in a one-to-one ratio, spray the solution over all surfaces and corners. This procedure should be repeated daily for a month, and then every ten days for preventive purposes.
- Lay out balls made from chalk and boric acid in the bathroom. Make balls like this: mix one part boric acid and four parts crushed chalk, add egg yolk. Form small lumps and spread over the entire area of the bathroom.
- Insects in the bathroom will go away if you spread dry wormwood and tansy everywhere, and sprinkle table salt in the corners.
When leaving the house for a long time, it is useful to spray a weak solution of vinegar with water in the bathroom. This will prevent the appearance of uninvited residents. On your return, the bathroom needs to be ventilated.
Insects are attracted by high humidity indoors, therefore, in order to get rid of them forever, you need to take the following measures:
- close the ventilation opening with a grill with a filter;
- eliminate all leaks in pipes;
- regularly ventilate the room;
- wipe the bath after use, do not leave puddles on the floor;
- carry out cleaning using household chemicals containing chlorine.
