Resilience Workshop VI: Transform your worries into actions

You have suffered, life has hit you hard, but from that adversity we are capable of learning, growing and mobilizing at the action. You feel pain and that pain, that worry, has a message for you, that you stop turning your head, that you stop worrying and that you take action.

We have to be able to transform a concern into an action that directly affects it. Our concerns can be managed and eliminated if we know how to interpret your message and if we are able to take action and take some strategic, change some habits or solve some pending issues.

Well, the time has come to take action. Would you dare

to propose some actions to stop suffering those worries that rob you of energy and good humor? Perhaps you have a pending talk with your partner, a job change or make some decisions … If you do not take action, if you do not make an appointment with the dentist, if you do not sit down with your partner, if you do not introduce some changes in your life or If you don’t make some decisions, you won’t stop feeling that pain nor those concerns. Don’t worry about a toothache, better go to the dentist.

I propose that you make one list with everything that worries you. Try to get to the detail. Very well. Now is the time to take action for each concern. For example, for those discomfort in the belly you can schedule a visit to the digestive specialist, for that relationship problem you can schedule a talk and for those recurring annoyances of your children you can schedule an appointment with their tutors, with a psychology professional or a talk with them.

Okay, now it’s about you putting a date for all the actions you’ve thought of. What is not put into practice is useless, so my best advice is that you can schedule the different actions that you have thought about and have planned in a calendar.

Forget the worries, abandon them, without a doubt. There is nothing more paralyzing than worry. But do you know what a concern is? Well, that something that seems real but is not really.

Wake up from your nightmares. Don’t know how to do it? Nothing happens, right now I give you some more guidelines, some resources that will help you. Do not forget, for now we have transformed each concern into an action and we have scheduled them on the calendar. Most of the time we know what we have to do to influence what worries us but we are lazy or afraid to take action. If that is your case, I share some keys that will help you take action.

To begin with do it in a planned and structured way. Break down the tasks that you must perform to achieve your goal so that you can go step by step. Do not forget to set a date to take action and when you take action do not forget to make comparisons between what you have planned and what is happening. Schedule a few moments of partial goal control that allow you to notice any deviations relatively quickly. The more time that passes, the more difficult it will be to redirect a deviation from the initial goal. Do not forget that you are capable of adopting some flexibility if the situation requires it. If the reality does not conform to what you had foreseen, I advise you to analyze the context again and what values if you should contemplate this new possibility or not. Take action with courage knowing that if you make a mistake you have to learn from what happened but do not feel insecure. It doesn’t always work out the first time.

When you take action, it will be interesting for you to be alert to feedback, or answers, that you are having. It is possible that the context varies or that some factor comes into play that you did not control. If this happens, you should not worry. You must take care. Re-analyze the context, the new alternatives that you have and modify some aspect of your plan if necessary.

Pay attention to those factors that can influence your decision causing distortions, insecurities, self-imposed pressures, etc. Without forgetting that the responsibility making decisions about your life is up to you alone. Finally one more thing, it is very possible that you have processes of influence or pressure from the people around you, but do not lose perspective, it is the only thing that will allow you to make the right decision.

Take action, don’t wait any longer, don’t delay it any longer, act, transform your intentions into actions.

What’s happening to you? Why don’t you do it? It is never too late to take action, every day, every week, every month, every year you have an opportunity to transform your intentions into actions.

There are many opportunitiesWithout a doubt, but don’t wait any longer, the opportunities are running out. Suddenly there comes a day where you will no longer have the opportunity to transform your worries into actions.
