Method of preparation
Prepare minced meat, boil rice, dilute tomato paste with water, or use ready-made tomato sauce. Boil the peeled onions in salted water over low heat, the onions should not boil. Remove it from the water with a slotted spoon and cool. Cut off the “cap” from each onion, remove the core. Mix half of the onion with the minced meat, add spices, rice and fill the middle of the onions with this mixture. Put the stuffed onions in a frying pan or in a refractory glass dish, on each onion put a slice of cheese and a piece of butter, pour over with tomato sauce. Bake in the oven. Serve with boiled potatoes.
