The plant is a spreading bush up to 2,5 m high. Its powerful stems are about 15 mm in diameter. Unlike other species, it has a small amount of green and light brown thorns. Large, bright green leaves grow on the stems, which have a relief surface.

Raspberry “Brusvyana” has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties

“Brusvyana” bears fruit for about 3 months, from the beginning of June and from mid-August until the first frost. At this time, large raspberry-colored berries ripen, weighing up to 12 g. They taste sweet and sour, juicy and have a pleasant aroma.

Up to 7 kg of harvest can be harvested from one bush

Along with high yields, raspberries contain a large amount of nutrients and vitamins. Berries can be eaten fresh or prepared for the winter. They do not lose their shape and beautiful appearance for a long time.

How to grow the Brusvyana raspberry variety in the garden?

Raspberries of this species can be grown by every gardener. In general, this is an unpretentious plant that is undemanding to the composition of the soil and climatic conditions. It grows best in light, loose soil. In this case, the place should be well lit and free of drafts.

Raspberry care includes the usual procedures for a gardener:

  • Water the shrub every 10 days, starting in mid-May. A bucket of water is enough for one bush. Do this in the morning and evening.
  • The day after watering, shallow the soil and remove the weeds.
  • Mulch the soil with sawdust, humus, or compost to retain moisture.
  • At the beginning of spring, it is necessary to thin out the shrub, leaving 7 shoots each. Also remove 20 cm from last year’s stems and damaged tops. After summer fruiting, prune off the branches that have fruited, and prune off all the stems for the winter.
  • Beginning in the second year after planting, feed the plant in cloudy weather. Apply organic fertilizers to the soil at least 3 times during the growing season. In the spring, use nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers.
  • Support and tie up a sprawling shrub for easy maintenance and harvesting.
  • In late autumn, after pruning the shrub, cover the soil with humus or straw to protect the roots from frost. Bend young shoots to the ground and cover with dense material, hay or straw.

That’s all the raspberry bushes need to grow.

Take care of Brusvyana and harvest a bountiful, large and healthy crop from the branches.
