The rules of conduct in quarantine have changed the way of life for many people. So, if earlier Mary Ann Fosi Resendes, raising her five-year-old daughter alone, simply took the baby to the store, going shopping, now it has become a problem.
Indeed, in Texas, where mother and daughter live, as in most countries of the world, children are not welcome in stores. But since Mary Ann was afraid to leave the baby alone at home, she decided on a creative way out of the situation.
She hand-painted a poster that she attaches to the girl’s clothes every time. It says that the baby is only 5 years old, and she cannot stay at home alone.
Mary Ann said that this measure was due to the fact that she was simply afraid that someone might offend the child, starting to shout that in quarantine conditions she needed to shop alone.
After Mary Ann posted a photo of her child on social networks, many parents approved of her idea and said they would take note of the idea. Some immediately recalled that they had already encountered a lack of understanding in stores, when other customers, sometimes reaching the point of shouting and insulting, shamed them for “bringing a child with them.”
