Age: 32 years.
Place of work: before the pylon, I graduated from the university with a degree in financial management, I worked for 7 years in the field of finance, economics and banks. Now I work in the Kat’s dance studio (St. Petersburg).
What did you do before the pylon: “In early childhood, from 4-5 years old I was engaged in the sports school in Kirov, preparing to become a gymnast. But when I was 7 years old, our family moved and the sport was pushed into the background. So, we can say that I came to the pylon from scratch.
Role dance career: “I came to pole acrobatics exactly 3 years ago. I found something similar to gymnastics in pole dance. She came to Kat’s dance studio 2,5 years ago as a student. When asked if I want to participate in competitions, I honestly thought it was not about me, that this is real only for those people who are in sports from the cradle. But this just spurred on even more, there was a sports passion. Achievements: participated in demonstration performances, competitions Pole sport – 2014, bronze medalist of Catwalk-2015 in the pole sport profi category ”. Sovesem recently, on October 11, in Togliatti, I became the gold medalist of the aerial ring and canvases championship in the Aerial Canvases category (adults, amateurs). “
The hardest element: “I can’t say which trick was the most difficult for me. It all depends on physical capabilities. But I went to each trick gradually, the body was preparing. And then – once, and it worked! “
Why is it worth doing: “If you are bored in the gym, if you have ceased to see the results of training on your body – go to the pole! If you have not realized yourself as an athlete, have not taken place for some reason, believe me, at the age of 30 you can also start or continue! “
Where to begin: “With the choice of a good school and a competent coach who will gradually prepare your body to perform tricks so as not to harm.”
What you need to be prepared for: “Don’t expect miracles. But you shouldn’t give up either. And if you do not succeed in what Masha or Sveta did in a month, this is not a reason to be hysterical and quit classes. In general, in the first 2-3 months of classes, when nothing works out and you want to quit, you don’t need to look at someone and compare yourself with them. Everyone has their own body, and it will give results in due time. As they say, every trick has its own time. “

Age: 26 years.
Job: coach at the “Magnit” dance school, leading dancer of the May Bay club (St. Petersburg).
What did you do before the pylon: “She graduated from the studio of pop dance and choreography“ Zodiac ”, studied there for 10 years, received the 1st category in dancing and a certificate of completion. Then she improved at the “Magnet” dance school, where she studied with the best teachers in all modern trends. She worked as a go-go dancer at the best club venues in St. Petersburg. “
Role dance career: “I’ve been doing pole dancing for 5 years, 3,5 years of which I’ve been teaching pole (Exotic and Pole Fitness). I wanted to radically change my life, lose weight, feel that men are looking at me with admiration and change the dance direction. My students won prizes in the Aphrodisiac, Drive Fest, Cristall Show contests.
The hardest element: “Two elements were hard for me. This is “plowing”, it is “plowing”. I spent a couple of lessons on it. I remember practicing it in a small hall, and from the first throwing of my legs I dislocated my big toe – it flew into the pylon, and then hit the wall from behind and on the floor. In general, the impressions were indescribable. The second element is a “checkbox”. I spent about a year and a half on it – my joints are weak, and my body and hands resisted as best they could.
Why is it worth doing: “Pole exercises are great for supporting the figure and mood.”
Where to begin: “Of course, you can study at home as well. Many of my students have pylons at home. But still it is better to work out with a coach, because pole dancing is a sport, and so that you do not get injured once again, the coach will support you, show you how it is easier to get into this or that trick. “
What you need to be prepared for: “Physical fitness for pole training is desirable. In this case, it will be a little easier for you. But this does not mean that starting from scratch, you will not be able to reach the same heights. After all, the main thing is the right coach and your desire! “
The most unusual pylon: “For me – road signs and trees.”

Age: 38 years.
Parameters: height 154 cm, weight 49 kg.
Job: FitFashion fitness club, Kat’s dance studio, Magnit dance school (St. Petersburg).
What did you do before the pylon: “At the age of 5-6, I was engaged in rhythmic gymnastics, then five years in sports. Master of Sports in Sports Acrobatics. And after 16 years, dancing and fitness captivated my head. “
Role dance career: “I came to pole acrobatics 5 and a half years ago, when I was 32 and a half years old, and my son was 2 and a half years old. I am the 2012 Russian pole acrobatics champion, the 2013 World Championship finalist (5th place). Repeated finalist of international championships. And now I am also a professional trainer, my students are prize-winners of Russian competitions in pole acrobatics in the categories “amateurs” and “professionals”.
The hardest element: “All the elements were easy for me. The only problem was the pain from the “skin clamps”. The body took a long time to get used to the “piece of iron”.
Why is it worth doing: “Pilon is able to make you not only prettier and more graceful, but also tell you how to overcome fears, believe in yourself, increase your own self-esteem.”
Where to begin: “In pole dance, as elsewhere, a simple rule works: the hardest thing is the beginning. You will have to overcome your own fears and doubts to take the first step, and everything else is a matter of time and regular practice. Contrary to common misconceptions, even the most difficult tricks can be mastered by an “unsportsmanlike” person. “
What you need to be prepared for: “To the bruises, however, they are an integral part of pole sport for beginners. Then everything will pass. “

Age 25 years.
Parameters: height 176 cm, weight 57 kg.
Job: Kat’s dance studio (St. Petersburg).
What did you do before the pylon: “In the past, I have rhythmic gymnastics and a professional ballet school. At the age of 14, I left the choreographic school, deciding that dancing was not serious. “
Role dance career: “I got into the pylon when I was 22, I wanted to try something new. Honestly, when I went to the first training session, I thought that I was going to learn dancing, but it turned out that it was the acrobatic side that fascinated me. Not so long ago I became the winner of the World Pole Art Championship 2015 in Spain. “
The hardest element: “Human flag. This is keeping the body parallel to the floor with the legs brought together in the flag grip of the hands. The element is considered “masculine”, and the girls who have this trick in the arsenal can be counted on one hand. I have been working on this most complex power element for 2 years now, and so far it has not completely succumbed to me. “
Why is it worth doing: “Pole training is not only a way to get a toned figure and become stronger, it’s also very interesting! There is nothing more motivating than to do the element that looked impossible a couple of workouts ago and, it seemed, would never be possible for you. “
Where to begin: “If a person is a beginner in sports, it is worth practicing only under the guidance of a coach. Without a thorough knowledge of anatomy and the rules for building the training process, self-study is fraught with injuries and health problems. Firstly, it is probably an illiterate distribution of the load on the two sides of the body, and secondly, a number of elements require insurance during the first execution attempts, otherwise falls are inevitable. “
What you need to be prepared for: “First of all, to pain and bruises all over the body, which are inevitable at the first stage of training. A little later – to calluses on the palms. “
The most unusual pylon: lamp post.

Age: 35 years old, mother of three children (14, 7 and 1,5 years old).
Parameters: height 170 cm, weight 59 kg.
Job: managing the network of clinics “Workshop of Health” (Moscow – St. Petersburg).
What did you do before the pylon: “I didn’t go in for sports before. But it so happened that during pregnancy I saw a photo of a girl on a pole on the Internet. It was Valeria Poklonskaya, president of the Russian Pole Sports Federation. Valeria has three children, and I thought: how amazing it is when a mother of three children looks like this! “
Role dance career: “In March 2014, having given birth to her third child, daughter Katyusha, I went to the gym to put her far from ideal figure in order. After a short search, I found a wonderful coach – Marina Grigorieva, with whom I practice pole dancing. I study both tricks (pole sport) and dancing (pole exotic). This year I took part in the Zodiac-2015 competition for the first time and took the 4th place ”.
The hardest element: “I always wanted to make a“ flag ”, I got it only after three months of daily training! Now I dream of learning how to make starfish. “
Why is it worth doing: “Pylon is strength, power, beauty, victory over earthly gravity! This is a direction where strength, endurance, stretching and plastic are developed at the same time. Plus amazing photo sessions, the ability to create various images in dance, create a dance for your beloved man, record a beautiful video clip for him. “
Where to begin: “We need to find a good coach. Let it not be very “promoted”. It is important that this is a person who has teaching experience, pedagogical talent, who is able to inspire and support his students. The second is to prepare for the fact that at first it can be difficult, not everything will work out. This is fine”.
What you need to be prepared for: “Calluses and bruises happen. But they are few, they pass quickly and they are worth it. And do not pay attention to judgmental views. “
The most unusual pylon: “Every self-respecting pilonist has a must-have photo of a flag on a lamppost. And I am no exception. “

Age: 21 year.
Place of study: student of SPbGEU.
What did you do before the pylon: “I didn’t do anything serious. Is that belly dancing. And so everything was at the level of school amateur performances ”.
Role dance career: “I have been doing pole dancing, or rather pole fitness, for a little over two years. In the spring, she took part in her first serious competition – IPSF (International Pole Sports Federation) in the Northwestern Federal District in the “amateurs” category and took 1st place there. Next spring I will be among the professionals. “
The hardest element: “All the elements for flexibility are hard for me. Precisely because I came to this sport completely unprepared. That is, no one stretched my back in childhood, I can hardly make a bridge on my elbows. But I am working on it.
Why is it worth doing: “I myself came here by accident. I wanted something new. I was interested in dancing people I know what to do to require stretching, good physical fitness, plasticity and beauty. And I was advised to use a pylon. “
Where to begin: “Buy a subscription and go systematically 2 times a week. Any woman who is distinguished by patience, diligence and a desire to become better can study from scratch. But if you want to perform, and not only at reporting concerts, you will have to try. If you have excess weight, you need to lose it. And not only for aesthetic reasons – it will be difficult for you to carry yourself around. Secondly, there is no need to be afraid of difficulties. If you are scared that you will be able to perform the basic elements beautifully and correctly only after 3 months, and all this time your hands will shake and your palms sweat, then nothing will come of it. You need to be able not to give up and work, work and work! “
What you need to be prepared for: “To bruises, especially on the legs. You will be like a Dalmatian, there is nothing you can do about it. You have to be prepared for slippery palms. Due to the uncertainty at the very beginning of the class, you will, as if smeared with cream, slide everywhere. You have to be prepared for the pain. At first, it will be painful to even just clamp the pylon between your legs. But don’t worry, it will pass quickly, already in the first month. Manicure does not interfere. But the solarium interferes! Do not wear it before training, otherwise it will be slippery. And do not smear yourself with any creams. “
The most unusual pylon: “On the ferry Petersburg – Helsinki – Stockholm – Tallinn”.

Age 31 year.
Place of work: manager of the sports pole dance studio “Grace” (Shlisselburg), trainer.
What did you do before the pylon: “I have been doing rhythmic gymnastics for 20 years.”
Role dance career: “I came to sports pole dancing in February 2013. My biggest achievement is stability. I take part in the World pole sport championship for the second year in a row, and at the moment I occupy the 6th place in the world ranking. “
The hardest element: “Oddly enough, there were no problems with the study of the elements, since I have good coaches.”
Why it is worth doing it: “This is terribly interesting. Pole exercises develop plasticity, improve stretching and coordination, and place enormous stress on all muscles, ligaments and tendons. Pole dance creates excitement and incredibly increases self-esteem. “
Where to begin: “Find a studio, call and sign up for a class. With a competent construction of the training process, any person can master pole acrobatics. Yes, classes should certainly be led by an experienced mentor. “
What you need to be prepared for: “Manicure is not a hindrance, but calluses cannot be avoided, as well as bruises.”
The most unusual pylon: “I have nothing to brag about here. I do not like extreme sports and am afraid of hurting my hands on the covering of posts and fences. “
