Frenum of the foreskin

– located on the lower surface of the penis, between the head and the foreskin, it is a longitudinal fold of skin and mucous membrane. The frenulum contains a large number of lymphatic and blood vessels that supply the head of the penis with blood.

Short frenulum of the penis

When normal, the frenulum is elastic and does not cause discomfort. But sometimes there is a pathology (usually congenital, sometimes the consequences of injury) – a short frenulum. In this case, the frenulum prevents the head of the penis from being exposed.

Consequences of a short frenulum of the penis

  • During intense sexual intercourse, the frenulum may rupture, which causes heavy bleeding and pain.
  • painful sensations during sexual intercourse. When the pain repeats, it is reflected in the consciousness, causing fear of sexual contact, which can lead to impaired potency.

Frenulotomy – plastic surgery of the frenulum of the penis

There is no need to wait until the frenulum ruptures. The problem is easily eliminated by frenuloplasty (frenulotomy). The cost of such an operation is small, and frenulum rupture is almost 100% eliminated.

Plastic surgery of the frenulum of the penis

The operation is quite simple; it is performed on an outpatient basis using local anesthesia. During the operation, a transverse dissection of the frenulum is performed, and then longitudinal suturing. The bridle lengthens by 1-1,5 cm. The operation takes about 20 minutes.

After frenuloplasty surgery.

There are no serious restrictions after such an operation. Avoid sexual intercourse for 2 weeks – this is exactly the amount of time needed for complete healing. During this time, monitor the condition of the frenulum, wash the foreskin twice a day and apply cream.

In cases where the operation is performed after a rupture of the short frenulum, the operation is somewhat more complicated and takes longer.

In our medical center “Prima Medica” (Kaluzhskaya metro station) you can perform this operation. Price for the service in the “Services and Prices” section.
