Planes’ second opus, released on the big screen this summer, is finally arriving on DVD. And, it moves! Dusty, the intrepid plane and racing champion, is at the height of his fame when he learns he will no longer be able to compete. One of its engines being damaged. Far from being discouraged, he decides to retrain by becoming… a fireman of the sky. Dusty then joins a team of heroes just as brave as him. Helicopter, water bomber, bulldozer and other all-terrain vehicles have only one mission: to save lives without hesitating to take risks. The scenario is well oiled, with skillfully orchestrated twists. The aerial ballets follow one another at a frantic pace and the special effects are super successful. For more realism, the animation teams worked with real aerial firefighters. Actor Fred Testot is lending his voice to Dusty, for the second time. And, Audrey Lamy joins the Disney team by overtaking the Dipper bomber who is Dusty’s biggest fan. As for the soundtrack, it’s also a success: pepsy music goes from classic to hard-rock with AC-DC. An explosive cocktail to have a good time with the family. And, also a way of making the youngest aware of the protection of the environment by adopting the right actions in the forest.
Disney, from € 15,99 on DVD and € 16,99 on Blu-ray. From 3 years old.
