Caring for a baby up to four and a half years old
The state cares about the well-being of its citizens. It provides guarantees that allow the mother to spend time with the baby without worrying about the safety of the workplace. A woman goes on maternity leave when pregnancy occurs. For childbirth and education, she is provided with crumbs from 1,5 to 3 years. However, if you wish, you can extend the vacation, if the authorities agree to this.
At 1,5 years old, the baby becomes more independent. There is no need for every second supervision. He can already attend preschool so that the woman can work without obstacles. If an employee wishes to extend the decree, she is deprived of social guarantees.
Features of the extended decree
A pregnant woman is entitled to guarantees that provide her with government support. She receives social benefits:
- One-time average daily payment for each day when the pregnant woman is disabled;
- A monthly payment of 40% of the salary until the baby is 1,5 years old;
- In the future, 50 rubles daily, until the baby reaches 3 years.
It is not profitable for a woman to stay with a baby for a long time. The amount of maternity payments is less than the employee’s salary. Therefore, you should go on vacation as late as possible, and hurry up when you go to work. The decree can be registered to the grandmother or grandfather. To do this, it is enough to submit a certificate confirming that other family members have refused leave.
How to apply for an extension of the decree
To prolong the care of the baby, the consent of the organization in which the woman is employed is sufficient. She will lose payments, but keep her job. The level of wages will also remain the same. Seniority for the renewal period will not be counted.
The Duma is considering a new decree law. He will provide employees with the opportunity to:
- Stay with a baby up to 4,5 years old;
- Receive work experience;
- If you have 3 or more children, increase your pension savings;
- Work part-time and receive social benefits.
Today, employers are extending the leave for employees looking after seriously ill children. This requires the conclusion of doctors.
The extended decree does not protect the woman socially. It is not officially regulated.
