Mead “Voronezh” 6% from Yuri Alekhin (LLC “Medok”, Voronezh)
Composition: . Expiration date: 3 months from the date of bottling. 1 bottle of 0,5 l – 120 rubles
Mead – a low-alcohol drink made from water, honey and yeast with the addition of natural flavors (spices, spices, berries). The most popular and famous mead is prepared in Suzdal, where it is sold. This one is not from Suzdal or even from the Vladimir region, which is interesting in itself. This is not to say that this is the most delicious mead that we have tried. Perhaps we are too spoiled for Suzdal drinks.
Mead “Voronezh” is more like a drink based on mead. The taste and aroma of honey is not too pronounced. But the declared cinnamon is well read in the taste. Plus the drink seemed too sweet to us. And we liked to drink it not chilled, but at room temperature. Since there is a minimum of information on the label: the method of preparation and the type of drink (set or boiled mead) is not indicated, we cannot say how sweet and “honey” were provided for by the recipe. And yet, I would like to know from which honey the mead was prepared.
In general, it is great that mead is “walking” around the country and we are only “for” such experiments and new tastes. We recommend you try it!
Melted cottage cheese, 5% from Olga Druganina (“Annushkina farm”, IP Druganina, Mo, Mozhaisky district)
Composition: . Shelf life: 72 h. 100 g. – 65 rubles.
This product divided our group of tasters into two parts. Some noted its overly saturated color, weak aroma and taste of baked milk. Others liked its creamy texture and sweet taste. Controversial product.
Home ryazhenka, 3,2% from Olga Druganina (“Annushkina farm”, IE Druganina, Mo, Mozhaisky district)
We liked the fermented baked milk more than the cottage cheese, and did not cause such violent discrepancies. Although the color remains the same, in our opinion it is too saturated. And the consistency seemed somewhat strange – lumpy. But there were no questions about taste.
Perhaps it’s all about the word “home”. It immediately raises the bar too high for product quality. This also applies to the aforementioned cottage cheese.
Goose breast carpaccio by Stanislav Tipikin
Composition: . Expiration date: 1 month. 85 gr. – 341 rubles.
“Tasty, but not enough”! We all liked Carpaccio. We ate it quickly and with pleasure. Despite the abundance of spices and spices in the composition, the taste of the meat is not lost and this is great! Thin cuts, natural flavor and color of goose fillet. The only thing (and we can’t go without remarks) was that the fillet pieces were different in size, but this is fixable. The quality of the product is much more important! Recommended!
Cheese “Camembert” from Maxim Selivanov (“Zavidovskie products”)
100 g – 160 rubles
The manufacturer’s website says about this product: “”.
I would like to characterize the product that we have tried a little differently. Inside, it has a rather soft, slightly stretching consistency with a harsh taste and aroma. We did not feel the mushroom notes. Perhaps it was our cheese that was not stored quite correctly, we could not finish it.
Goat cheese “Chevron” from Maria Koval
1 kg – 2500 rubles.
Goat cheese is almost cilantro. Some love him, others – absolutely not. To cilantro, as we have noticed, the same attitude. Non-aligned – no. Most of our tasting group love goat cheese. And they were satisfied with its quality. Everything that we expect from goat cheese is there: both aroma and taste. Recommended!
Levarden cheese with fenugreek seeds from Maria Koval
Composition: . 0,25 kg – 880 rubles.
It is a semi-hard cheese made from cow’s milk 45% (gouda type) with a pleasant walnut aroma. This aroma is the secret of the product. There are no nuts in the cheese, but there are fenugreek seeds, which are also called Shambhala, Chaman or Helba. They are often added to add nutty flavor all over the world, from India to Armenia. This is just such a case. Recommended!
Cheese in red wine from Maxim Selivanov (“Zavidovskie products”)
Composition: . 1 kg – 2 rubles.
It is a hard cheese soaked in red wine with 39,5% fat in dry matter. We liked the cheese to taste. It is a bit tart, with a light crunch, for which, among other things, many people love Parmigiano Reggiano. It makes no sense to compare this cheese with Parmesan, but we liked it. Recommended!
Cheese in red wine from Maxim Selivanov
Sausage “Elk with lingonberry” from the Kholmansky
Composition: 200 gr. – 300 rubles.
This is a semi-smoked sausage that has been roasted and smoked on a real fire. We liked it both in its moderately “wild” taste and in consistency, although we didn’t really taste the lingonberry there.
Assorted dried fruits from Lilit Baghdasaryan plus churchkhela
the average price of 1 kg of dried fruits is 1500 rubles.
What is important when evaluating dried fruit? For us: preservation of the taste of the product, natural color and aroma and so that they do not undergo additional processing for a beautiful appearance (cooking in sugar syrup or processing with sulfur). Of course, we were not present during the drying of grapes, figs, plums, but we liked the quality of the offered products. Especially dried peaches and apples. We also tried Churchkhela. Good churchkhela.
Smoked vendace from Igor Tsygankov
0,5 kg. – RUB 500
This is our tasting favorite. We immediately noticed the packaging. It is neat, simple, comfortable and without design bells and whistles. It is quite suitable for smoked vendace. As it turned out, Igor Tsyganov pays great attention to packaging and developed it himself. Well done! Having looked at the box, we opened it, and there … Golden, fragrant, even, with a wide back and a delicate, but very appetizing aroma – not vendace, but some kind of darling. They could not look further for a long time, but quickly and quickly ate it. And we want more! The fillet from the seeds left remarkably, there was no unpleasant aftertaste, as well as the annoying aroma of smoking (which is often a sign of the use of liquid smoke) – only pleasure. Highly recommended!
