We often focus on this small button or on our too thin lips. But that was before… Here are the main flaws and our tips to hide them. Say goodbye to enemies of the perfect complexion!
A star’s mouth
I have too thin lips : using a natural pencil, I redraw the outline above the hem to contour their shape. I blend with my fingertip and apply the red by hand, in small strokes, from the center to the ends. And for a good hold of the rouge, I powder or I apply foundation beforehand on my lips.
Skin and complexion
I have a dull and pale complexion : a little scrub, it takes off the dead cells; a tinted moisturizer gives me a healthy glow and a touch of blush on the cheekbones and the brow bone brings relief to my face (pink for fair skin, orange for beige skin, red for black skin).
I’m exhausted … but I don’t want to show it : I’m happy with a clear concealer on dark areas, a brush stroke of translucent powder on the face and a touch of blush high on the cheekbone. I avoid heavy makeup which is likely to turn. And my neat hair, it’s the touch of freshness that is missing from my face!
I have shiny skin : a mattifying moisturizer, and voila. For daytime touch-ups, there are ultra-fine compact powders or very effective small blotters.
I have dewy skin (or rosacea) : to hide the unsightly color, I melt a veil of green powder on the affected areas before covering with a translucent powder, avoiding the demarcations.
I have a scarred face : small scars, spots, uneven skin tone… I opt for a fluid, light and discreet foundation (or tinted cream) which will unify my skin. I find the right color by testing on my neck to avoid demarcations.
I have a button : ideally, I don’t touch it. But if it needs to be camouflaged, once my makeup is finished, I take some cream concealer, with a clean finger, and I lightly tap the intruder. I powder with a brush and repeat the movements until the awful spot is completely hidden.
I have a scar or a bruise : if the mark is purplish or blue, I choose a yellow corrector. For a pink brand, you need green. Then, I cover with a concealer, with the tip of the finger, and I unify with a veil of powder. Neither seen nor known !
Your eyes only better!
I have dark circles installed : I dab lightly under the eye to reactivate circulation, I apply the concealer then a veil of mineral powder with a brush. In the hollow of the eye, on the wing of the nose, a touch of concealer and a touch of pearly white make-up, to illuminate the eyes. I avoid kohl as well as mascara on the lower lashes, but I insist on those in the outer corner in order to enlarge the eyes.
I have too few eyelashes : while applying mascara, I move the brush from left to right to separate the lashes. Then I underline the level of the eyelashes and I blend with a brush or a cotton swab. Guaranteed “thickness” effect.
I have stiff eyelashes : with the last coat of mascara, I press my index finger lightly on the tips of the lashes to accentuate the movement. And hop, a mini brushing!
I have eyes wide open
I apply a light shadow all over the eyelid and a darker touch, at the end, on the nose side. I blend and underline the level of the eyelashes with a thin pencil line.
