Take a heavy-bottomed saucepan, add water and bring to a boil. Pour all the oatmeal into the boiling water slowly and evenly, stirring constantly with a spoon to prevent lumps from forming. Toss in the salt, set the temperature to medium, and cook the oatmeal for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring constantly. It should boil down, but not become a sticky mass.

This healthy oatmeal recipe is basic. You can add sugar, milk or cream, fruits or soaked dried fruits, crushed nuts, chocolate or coconut, etc. to the finished dish to taste.

Oatmeal cutlets with mushrooms

Ingredients (for 3-4 servings): – 1 tbsp. small oat flakes; – 0,5 tbsp. boiling water; – 100 g of champignons; – 1 potato; – 1 onion; – 2 cloves of garlic; – 0,5 tsp salt; – a pinch of ground black pepper; – 2-3 feathers of green onions; – vegetable oil.

Boil the flakes with boiling water for half an hour. Peel potatoes and onions and finely grate them. Rinse the mushrooms and cut into small pieces. Chop the green onion and pass the garlic through a press. Throw the prepared vegetables and mushrooms into the swollen oatmeal, salt, pepper and stir.

Gain a tablespoon and put in heated vegetable oil, giving it an oval shape. Fry the oatmeal patties for a minute on each side, then reduce heat to low, cover the pan with a lid and cook for another 5 minutes. Place on a heavy washcloth or paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Delicate oat cake with banana

Ingredients (for 6-8 servings): – 1,5 tbsp. small quickly boiled oatmeal; – 2 bananas; – 2 chicken eggs; – 1 tbsp. flour; – 100 g of butter; – 75 g of sugar; – 0,5 tsp salt; – baking soda on the tip of a knife;

For sprinkling: – 2 tbsp. flakes; – 4-5 walnut kernels; – 0,5 tsp cinnamon; – 2 tbsp. Sahara; – 20 g butter.

Remove the butter from the refrigerator half an hour before cooking. Mash it with sugar in a deep bowl, pour in the eggs one at a time and beat everything well with a broom or mixer. Combine the oatmeal, flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl. Chop or mash the bananas until smooth. Place the fruit puree in the egg and butter mixture, stir and add the oatmeal base.

Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Line a baking tray with baking paper and fill it with cake batter. It is not necessary to coat it with oil, because the mass already contains enough fat. Prepare a sprinkle by combining oatmeal, softened butter, sugar, cinnamon and chopped nuts. Cover the resulting crumb over the raw pie and bake for 40 minutes.
