Healthy water-based oatmeal recipe
To cook healthy oatmeal in water, the main thing is to choose the right cereal. You will need whole grains of oats. All those that belong to the category of instant and quick-cooking, for example, oatmeal, it is better not to use in the recipe. Indeed, due to a certain processing system, most of the nutrients in such a product are lost. But the harmful starch, on the contrary, remains. Therefore, try to choose those flakes that have been least processed.
To prepare a healthy porridge, you will need: – 1 glass of oatmeal; – 2,5 glasses of water; – 6 g of salt.
The cooking method is as simple as possible. Pour the cereal with water, add some salt and cook over medium heat until tender. Very often, porridge prepared in this way seems to many to be ugly, unappetizing and tasteless. At the same time, it is not so difficult to improve the taste of such a product. It is enough to add fruits, berries, a spoonful of honey (instead of sugar), a little butter (for those who do not seek to lose weight), and the taste of such a dish changes beyond recognition.
Alternatively, you can also microwave the oatmeal. To do this, it is enough to pour the cereal with water, add a little salt and put it in the oven for a couple of minutes (sometimes one minute is enough, depending on the power of the microwave). It is advisable only to cover the plate with a lid in case the cereal starts to shoot.
Contraindications for use
Oatmeal should not be eaten in any form by people suffering from a disease such as celiac disease (intolerance to cereals).
