Nitrendipine is a dihydropyridine derivative, second generation calcium antagonist. It inhibits the penetration of calcium ions into smooth muscle cells in peripheral arteries. Thus, it contributes to the improvement of cerebral and pulmonary circulation and to lowering blood pressure. It does not reduce blood flow through the kidneys. It is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and works for a period of 8-12 hours. It does not accumulate in the body – it is excreted in metabolic processes.

Indications for the use of Nitrendipine

Nitrotypical is used to treat essential hypertension. It can be the drug of first choice and the only one used in the treatment of this ailment, and it can be combined with other medications to lower blood pressure.

Dose Nitremypinya is selected individually for a given patient. Usually it is 5 to 10 mg Nitremypinya once a day. This dose can be gradually increased.

When should you not use Nitrendipine?

Contraindications to receive Nitremypinya is hypersensitivity to nitrotype, other calcium antagonists or any component of the formulation. Nitremypinya It can also not be used in the case of cardiogenic shock, hypotension, main artery stenosis, after a recent myocardial infarction, in unstable angina, as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The use is not recommended Nitremypinya in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Possible side effects of using Nitrendipine

Nitrendypina enhances the effect of other antihypertensive drugs. In the initial phase of treatment, there may be an excessive loss of sodium in the urine. The drug may increase the effect of muscle relaxants.

Headaches, flushing and peripheral edema may occur. Precautions when taking Nitrendipine
