Greetings to new and regular readers! Friends, this mystical story from the life of neighbors happened ten years ago. A friendly family of three lived in our entrance: mom, dad and their little daughter.
They were wonderful people who loved each other and spent all their time together. I even noticed how some of our neighbors looked after them with envy.
Galina
But one day a disaster struck. The whole family spent the weekend at the dacha, the father and daughter decided to return home earlier. And Galina (that was the name of the mother of the family) stayed behind to finish all the gardening business. But her husband and daughter did not make it home, but got into an accident and died. She found out about this only the next day.
The funeral was over, Galina stopped appearing in public. A few months later, I saw her and simply did not recognize her: the once beautiful woman had grown very old and lost weight. Apparently, deep feelings about the loss of the family affected.
Entrance
I began to notice that Galina always tried to get into the entrance with someone, but not alone. I didn’t understand the reason for this behavior, and I didn’t really think about it. But one day we happened to meet near our entrance. She diligently pretended that she was just looking for keys in her bag, but I knew what was wrong with her.
I wondered why she was afraid to enter the entrance alone. And then she stunned me with her question: “Look, please, is there no one behind me?” I fell into a stupor … “No, Galya, nobody …” – I answered strangely. Then she grabbed my elbow and practically dragged me into the entrance.
By the way, she lived on the first floor, so she held me out to her apartment. I quickly dived into it and slammed the door in front of me. What all this was, I did not understand. But then I realized that, most likely, our neighbor was moved by her mind with grief. So they completely stopped paying attention to her, so as not to be embarrassed once again.
Sometimes I saw from the window how she walked down the street and all the time looked around sharply. And sometimes he jerks his hands, as if brushing off someone.
Once our district police officer knocked on my door asking how long I had not seen our neighbor Galina. I shrugged my shoulders, because maybe two weeks I did not have to deal with her. Then I heard the hustle and bustle and noise on the landing of the first floor. I looked, and everything was there: the police, the head of the house, and the Emergencies Ministry were breaking down Gali’s doors.
I did not go down there, because there was enough crowd without me. But I could see everything perfectly from the window: how they carried out a black plastic bag, how the ambulance doctors pumped out our eldest in the house. Later I found out what happened there.
Mysterious death
Galina was found in the bathroom, she was lying face down in the water. What was going on inside the bathroom is simply beyond description: a torn shower curtain, a complete mess around. Dead Gali’s nails were torn out, and there was dried blood on the tile all around. Her hair was torn out and scattered in patches on the floor and in the water.
Of course, such a case could be attributed to murder in order to rob, because her family once lived well. But nothing was missing from the apartment.
It is also strange that the bathroom door was closed from the inside. That is, if someone entered there, then they would have to somehow get out. And one more thing: the handles of the windows in the apartment were wound together with wire so that they could not be opened.
At first it really sounds like a murder, however, how did the killer leave the apartment then, after all, the door was closed from the inside?
In the end, the police issued everything as suicide. But I know that something pursued our neighbor, that she carefully tried to get rid of it. So this “something” was not good, since she was so afraid. So this “something” got too close to her.
