You need to spend 5 meals a day. The popular split meals help to maintain satiety throughout the day and speed up metabolism, which is very important in losing weight. The diet includes three main meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and two small snacks in between.
The daily Fox diet menu should include 5 types of food ingredients: protein, complex carbohydrates, fiber, healthy fats and sugar-free liquid.
For the diet to be as effective as possible, you need to devote 25 minutes of physical activity five days a week.
It also envisages five so-called rest days in one dietary cycle (that is, 5 weeks). Once a week, according to the methodology, it is allowed to deviate from the dietary rules and pamper yourself with some kind of forbidden food.
So, we find protein in fish and seafood, poultry (chicken, turkey are a good choice), veal, rabbit meat, eggs, cheese and cottage cheese. We cook the meat, cook it on a steam or grill, bake it. We draw carbohydrates from fruits and vegetables, pasta from durum wheat, whole grain cereals. Sources of fiber include coarse flour loaves and breads, bran, non-starchy vegetables, and unsweetened fruits. The suppliers of the right fats are olives and oil from them, fish (especially red). We drink pure water, tea (herbal and green), kefir and fermented baked milk with a low fat content, juices.
Mayonnaise, sugar, fructose, glucose syrup, various sweeteners with carbohydrates, trans fats, it is better not to allocate space in the composition of the food and drink consumed. You can use yogurt, mustard, lemon juice, vegetable oil for dressing dishes.
When drawing up the menu, you should give preference to dishes and products that have undergone minimal heat treatment. All food should be fresh, and cereals should be selected from whole grains, avoiding cereals and various “quick” cereals.
Sugar and alcohol are strictly prohibited. A healthy alternative to sugar is natural high-quality honey (up to 2 tsp per day).
Now let’s talk about sports. You need to do five 25-minute workouts per week, and you can rest from physical activity for the remaining two days. If you want the training to be as effective as possible, the author of the method recommends building them as follows. In the beginning, it is worth doing a 5-minute warm-up (this can be, for example, jogging, walking at a brisk pace or jumping rope). As you warm up, your heart rate should go up to 140 beats per minute. Next comes work with different muscle groups: we do strength training (lunges, pull-ups, push-ups, squats, work with dumbbells) for 10 minutes, we spend 5 minutes on exercises for the press (“bicycle”, “scissors”, etc.), 5 minutes we focus on aerobic exercise (cardio exercises or light jogging).
As a rule, in 5 weeks of the technique developed by Pasternak, you can lose from 7 to 10 kilograms of excess weight.

Examples of the Megan Fox diet developed by Harley Pasternak for two days
Day 1
Breakfast: frittata with tomatoes; unsweetened green or herbal tea.
Snack: Non-starchy fruit salad topped with empty yogurt.
Lunch: vegetable salad lightly seasoned with olive oil; risotto with mushrooms; unsweetened tea.
Afternoon snack: a loaf of rye flour with a slice of low-fat cheese and a slice of poultry (skinless); decoction of herbs.
Dinner: a couple of tablespoons of buckwheat porridge and a salad of non-starchy vegetables with herbs.
Day 2
Breakfast: oatmeal cooked in water with a chopped apple; whole grain bread with herbs and cheese.
Snack: low-fat cottage cheese with apple pieces.
Lunch: bowl of bean soup; a slice of boiled or baked chicken fillet and a cucumber-tomato salad.
Afternoon snack: a couple of cashew nuts; a salad of non-starchy vegetables and lean meat.
Dinner: boiled fish or seafood prepared in any way without adding oil; cucumber and 3-4 tbsp. l. boiled brown rice.
Contraindications to the Megan Fox diet
- This technique is quite balanced, therefore it has a minimum of contraindications. As always, pregnancy, lactation, childhood and old age are not the time to go on a diet.
