Maternal instinct

There is no maternal instinct, but there is a similar form of behavior developed in girls and women, which can be called that. Maternal instinct — similar to the innate readiness of the mother to care for and protect the child, the unconscious support of maternal behavior and maternal care.

Being a caring mother is work, and the work is not easy, often hard. Do girls like to work, are girls ready for such work? No, initially girls like to have fun. Question: how to turn a girl who loves fun into a caring mother? — Answer: turning on the maternal instinct.

«Maternal instinct» does not always wake up, usually for its manifestation it is required:

• having attractive and engaging designs. If a girl has seen this since childhood, she is more likely to repeat it, like a mother, herself, according to the mechanism of social learning.
• imprinting by the mother of the child. If the child is immediately placed on the mother’s chest after childbirth, the imprinting occurs almost instantly. In other cases, the situation may be controversial.
• living experiences associated with childbirth — or other quivering experiences of any, no matter positive or negative, nature.
• knowledge of the mother script and successful inclusion in it. That is, if the mother has already begun to care, she quickly begins to like it and she gets involved in this game, now calling it “maternal instinct”.

This maternal behavior is supported by social and personal benefits:

• Mom has something to do now
• mother begins to respect herself more: she is “a real mother!”,
• a mother can raise her status, because she expresses the interests of the child, and in case of disagreement with her husband, it is easier to resolve issues in her favor.

Unfortunately, the «maternal instinct» is not developed or supported by all mothers, which is easy to see in the wards of refuseniks, where healthy children are abandoned by their mothers.

Can the «maternal instinct» in men wake up? — Yes. If it is socially approved and the launch conditions are met, the maternal instinct in men wakes up with about the same ease.

Is a mother’s attitude towards her children determined only and entirely by «maternal instinct»? No. A woman is not only a mother, a woman can be both a wife and a patriot of her country. As a wife, she will put her husband before her child; as a patriot, she will put the interests of her country ahead of the lives of her children.
