A serious ultimatum to the owners of kiosks and MAFs was put forward by the Lviv City Council. Thus, a decision was made “On the inadmissibility of trading in alcoholic, low-alcoholic beverages and beer in temporary structures.”
It will enter into force on May 1, 2019 and the mayor’s office has given time before this deadline for the owners of the respective businesses to put their affairs in order in accordance with the new rules.
Lvov Mayor Andrey Sadovy said the following: “Today we have made a very serious decision – we have defined a clear position of the city on the sale of alcohol in MAFs. Such trade in the city will be considered prohibited. We are giving one month to all the companies that trade in alcohol in the LFAs to stop immediately. ”
If entrepreneurs do not fulfill the requirement of local authorities, then their temporary structures will automatically be excluded from the Integrated Scheme for the placement of temporary structures, the reference passports will be canceled, and the lease agreements will be terminated.
And if, even after 3 months, the requirements of the resolution are violated, then the mayor’s office assures that such objects will be dismantled.
There are 236 temporary structures in Lviv that fall under this ban.
