It costs $ 1 million: what the most expensive room in the world looks like

From the outside, this building is unremarkable. But everything changes literally with the click of a button.

And what is there to spend a million, and even dollars on? Such an idea arises in everyone at the first glance at a completely ordinary house, sheathed with light siding. But then a smiling manager appears, and the situation immediately ceases to be languid.

There is, in fact, only one room inside this house. And in general, this is not a house, but a former aircraft hangar with an area of almost 300 square meters. And inside it is a whole city, stylized as America of the 40s.

The entire facade of the house rises by pressing a button on the control panel. And the gaze of the surprised viewer opens an inner street with a town hall, a photo booth, cars standing on the streets and even an airplane – yes, there is a real “Cessna” inside. In general, a kind of dollhouse, just for very adults.

It seems that spending is becoming clearer. And when you look at the details, you finally become convinced that the hangar owner did not in vain turn it into a million dollar room. After all, all the little things, for example the doors to the internal bar or the telephone on the wall, the typewriter or the fan, are original, from those times. These are not some cheap replicas, but real antiques!

The owner of the house, Dan Shaw, calls his mini-city Danville, and himself – its mayor.

“My wife is my electorate. She voted for me, ”the man laughs.

Very soon, the house became a local landmark, and then its fame stepped far beyond the state of Florida, where it is located. They hold weddings and parties there. Therefore, Dan also arranged a mini-hotel inside, which has only one room, but what a one! Inside there is a bedroom with a king size bed, a kitchen and a lovely living room. Of course, there is also a bathroom. And all this is like cells inside one giant room.

On the ground floor, you can arrange a cinema, where the screen will be a whole wall.

“I’ve already lost track of the money I spent on Danville. But it’s great to see people’s faces when they understand what this house really is, ”says Dan.

By the way, anyone can stay here for a very modest amount – 5 rubles per night (price at the time of publication). So Danville can rightfully take pride of place among the most unusual dwellings that can only be rented while traveling.
