Sushi has long ceased to be something unusual. Japanese dishes have become part of our life, and it is already impossible to imagine it without mouth-watering rolls. On the other hand, there are a lot of rumors around this dish. Is it worth eating sushi, which is more – harm or benefit – from their use?

Sushi is a nutritious balanced dish that consists of healthy ingredients – rice, fish or seafood, vegetables. It is a source of fresh vitamins and minerals. Fish contains omega-3 fatty acids, which have a beneficial effect on the functioning of all organs, as well as on appearance. All sushi products are dietary.

 

Eating sushi has a beneficial effect on the work of the digestive and cardiovascular systems, stimulates mental activity and memory. Rice contains fiber, which allows you to quickly and permanently fill the dish.

Regular consumption of sushi reduces the risk of lung cancer, helps fight depression, and improves mood.

Wasabi has antiseptic properties and neutralizes possible harm from raw fish that is part of sushi. Also, Japanese mustard is useful for the prevention of dental caries, the development of blood clots in blood vessels.

Ginger is a powerful antioxidant and immune stimulant. And soy sauce has a rejuvenating effect and strengthens blood vessels.

Sea fish contains parasites that are dangerous to human health – this is an undoubted disadvantage of eating sushi and rolls. This is especially true of private companies that buy low-quality products, store them incorrectly and prepare sushi in unsanitary conditions. In most cases, the fish is still delivered frozen, and all harmful organisms are killed.

Another danger is that polished rice is often used in the preparation of Japanese delicacies, which is practically devoid of useful substances. Soy sauce provokes thirst and causes fluid retention

How to eat sushi correctly

You can reduce the risk of infection with helminths if you order sushi and rolls not with raw fish, but with smoked fish, and only in proven places. Don’t ignore wasabi – it has a powerful disinfectant effect and reduces the risk of poisoning.

If you are very fond of sushi, from time to time get tested for parasites and the presence of mercury in the body – this dangerous metal is found in large quantities in large red fish.

Pregnant and lactating mothers and young children should not eat sushi with raw fish.

If you are allergic to any ingredient, eating sushi is also contraindicated. The same applies to a history of chronic stomach diseases – gastritis or ulcers.
