This example will teach you how to import information from a Microsoft Access database. By importing data into Excel, you create a permanent link that can be updated.
- On the Advanced tab Data (Data) in section Get External Data (Get external data) click the button From Access (From Access).
- Select an Access file.
- Click Open (Open).
- Select a table and click OK.
- Choose how you want to display the data in the book, where you want to put it and click OK.
Result: Records from the Access database appeared in Excel.
Note: When the Access data changes, you just need to click refresh (Refresh) to download the changes to Excel.
