If there is only dust on the elements of the chandelier, you can limit yourself to dry cleaning. Use a microfiber cloth, puff or sponge to dust off all fasteners and parts.

A toothbrush, a paint brush is useful for cleaning hard-to-reach places, as well as relief patterns on the surface of the crystal.

If there is a large accumulation of dirt with a coating of fat, the chandelier must be washed. How to do it?

– If the hanging parts are complex, you can take several pictures of the chandelier. This will help you then put everything in the right order.

– Unscrew the bulbs, protect the sockets with a waterproof material.

– Remove all pendants and shades by placing them one at a time on a soft towel.

– Rinse the parts gently in detergent, then rinse.

– Collect all parts in one piece and hang from the ceiling. Leave to dry for two hours.

Wet cleaning should be carried out regularly, at least once every six months.

o Ammonia and water (1 tablespoon per glass).

o Salt, vinegar, water (1 tablespoon per glass).

o Dish soap and water.

o Water slightly acidified with vinegar (rinse).

The ingredients for such detergents are inexpensive and always at hand.
