How to stop smoking?

The “Second Wind” competition, organized by WDay.ru and the portal www.vnezavisimosti.ru, is over. And what we expected to a lesser extent happened – both participants won the final! Elena and Maria managed to quit smoking.

Let us remind you that within two weeks Elena Makarova (nickname – Polya) and Maria Chislova (Mch) were blogging on our site (by the way, today their diaries have been updated – they have the final entries).

In their diaries, the girls talked about how they fight smoking and what they do in order to never again, under any circumstances, pick up a cigarette.

First, our heroines underwent a special medical examination in State Research Center for Preventive Medicine. As a result, Maria decided to quit smoking with the help of pills. And another finalist, Elena, refused medication, wanting to once again test her willpower.

Both Maria and Elena coped with their task remarkably. Although we will not hide – both finalists had a very difficult time. In their diaries, the girls described what was happening in their lives, but much is still remained behind the scenes. One of the finalists started having problems in her personal life, the other got a seriously ill dog. And in such difficult conditions, they had to quit smoking in front of the whole country!

Maria CHISLOVA
