When time is running out, a hungry family or guests are loudly knocking spoons on the table, use these simple life hacks to get the planned potato side dish on your table as soon as possible.
Cook in a saucepan
Pour the peeled potatoes with boiling water, put on fire and salt. When the potatoes boil again, throw a piece of butter into the water, melting the butter forms a film that will allow the potatoes to cook in half the time.
Cooking in the microwave
Sprinkle peeled potatoes with vegetable oil and sprinkle with salt. Fold the prepared potatoes in a plastic food bag, tie and make a few holes. Set the microwave power to maximum and cook the potatoes for 7-10 minutes. Check readiness by pricking with a knife.
And one more life hack – potatoes will only benefit in taste if, during cooking, you add bay leaves, a sprig of dill or parsley. The spicy flavor is very good for potatoes!
