We will not talk at all about the salad, which everyone loves so much and often cooks, but about the French salad dressing, which is very popular all over the world and is used for dressing salads and is served with meat and fish dishes. The Vinaigrette sauce has a sour taste, consists of vegetable oil, wine vinegar, salt and pepper, and, depending on which dish is served, the corresponding spicy herbs are added.
To make a classic Vinaigrette sauce at home you will need:
- 3 parts extra virgin olive oil;
- 1 part wine vinegar or lemon (lime) juice
- salt and pepper to taste.
All ingredients are placed in a small jar, closed with a lid and shaken, as in a shaker.
To add zest to the classics, use chopped: parsley, dill, green or salad onions, and a drop of honey and a little Dijon mustard will also greatly decorate the taste of the sauce, you can also add mashed boiled yolk.
