You’ve probably noticed this simple dessert on supermarket shelves more than once. Children love this delicacy. You can cook puffed rice yourself at home.
- Rinse the rice and steam it until it remains firm and crumbly enough to not turn into a viscous porridge.
- Spread the cooked rice on a towel and leave to dry overnight.
- Fry the dried rice in a dry skillet.
- Heat vegetable oil nearby, add salt, sugar and honey to it.
- Put the rice in the oil.
- As soon as it swells, take it out on a plate with a slotted spoon.
- Let the cooked rice cool and put it in the refrigerator.
