How to preserve peeled cloves of garlic: long-term storage methods

There are several methods for storing garlic outside the refrigerator.

  • Sterilize glass jars and dry well. Put peeled teeth into cooled containers (they should not be damaged) and sprinkle with clean dry flour. Close the jars tightly with nylon lids and store in a cool dark place.
  • Salt is a good preservative that can preserve peeled garlic for a long time. Pour a thick layer of salt on the bottom of any container and put a layer of garlic on it. Alternate salt and peeled teeth all the way to the top. The top layer should be salt. We close the jars and put them in a dark, dry place for storage.
  • Wash and sterilize glass jars. Fill the container with peeled teeth almost to the very top and fill it with any vegetable oil – sunflower or olive. The oil will taste like garlic and can be used as a salad dressing.
  • A spicy vegetable can be pickled. To do this, put the peeled teeth in sterile jars and fill them with any wine. Store tightly closed in a cool, dark place.

Chopped chives should be wrapped in food foil in portions and frozen in the freezer. Storage duration – up to six months.

In addition, you can make a seasoning from garlic, which can then be used in cooking.

  • Peel the garlic and chop it thoroughly in a blender.
  • Combine salt and garlic puree (equal volumes are taken).
  • You can add any dried and crushed herbs to the mixture, mix thoroughly.

Transfer the resulting mixture to a dry, clean jar, close it with a tight lid and store in a cool place.

Peeled garlic can be stored in several ways. All of them are “workers”, so it will not be difficult to choose the best way to preserve special labor.
