Remember these simple life hacks and never again be upset if the persimmon brought from the market turns out to be tart.
Soak. Place persimmon fruits in water at room temperature and leave for 8-10 hours. The tannins that make persimmons tart will go into the water and the fruits will become sweet.
To freeze. Place the persimmon in the freezer and leave for 10-12 hours. After defrosting, there will be no trace of astringency, but the persimmon will become mushy and you can only eat it with a spoon.
Apples and bananas to help. Put the tart fruits together with apples or bananas, after a couple of days the persimmon will ripen and the unpleasant astringency will disappear.
