In spring, during the flowering of trees and plants, allergic reactions are aggravated. This makes life very difficult, because the manifestations of allergies are both mild – a runny nose, tearing, and complex – edema, drowsiness, loss of strength. There are foods that can ease allergies at this time of year.
Vegetable soups
Vegetables are the best foods to eat during allergies. They are hypoallergenic in their own right and are also rich in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. Vegetables strengthen the immune system, which needs strength to eliminate allergens
Vegetable soups are useful for allergy sufferers. Hot steam opens up the nasal passages, and vegetables have the property of preventing histamine from being released and provoking new attacks. Vegetables with a high content of vitamin C are especially useful – onions, carrots, tomatoes.
Greens
In spring, in the diet of an allergic person, you need to include greens – a source of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. The greens can help reduce symptoms and prevent them from appearing in those with mild allergies. Greens are especially useful for allergic rhinitis, coughs and puffiness of the eyes.
Greens should be eaten fresh or cooked by quick heat treatment – poached. So it will bring maximum benefit.
Tea
Hot tea is also effective in fighting allergies. The steam will help clear mucus from the nasal passages and relieve the condition. It is advisable to add slices of fresh lemon to the tea, which blocks the release of histamine. Also, tea contains polyphenols that increase immunity.
Fruit
During an exacerbation of allergies, you should not eat all fruits in a row. But those that are allowed can significantly improve health. These are bananas, pineapples and berries, preferably not red. These fruits are a source of antioxidants that strengthen the immune system and flavonoids that fight allergies. Anana, thanks to the enzyme bromelain, relieves irritation, and the quercetin contained in berries prevents the release of histamine.
Salmon
This fish contains a large amount of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, which strengthen the immune system, normalize the functioning of the heart and blood vessels and help the body fight allergies.
Nuts
Nuts also contain healthy omega-3 fatty acids. This is a great snack in between meals, which strengthens the immune system and reduces inflammation. The only thing is – if you are allergic to nuts, then, of course, it is dangerous to eat them.
