How to properly dust off?
You’ve probably noticed that simply wiping off dust from a smooth surface is often ineffective. Small particles rise into the air and after a while again settle on shelves, cabinets, tables and other furniture. To avoid this problem, learn to dust properly.
- You need to start cleaning dust from the ceiling. Wrap a damp cloth around a mop or broom and wipe the surface thoroughly, if the material allows it.
- Large amounts of dust accumulate in the upper corners of the room. At the second stage of cleaning, it is these problem areas that need to be cleaned.
- Wipe off dust from the chandelier or shade with a damp cloth.
- Cupboards and window sills are wiped from top to bottom. Remember to remove dust from interior surfaces and shelves.
- Electrical appliances are capable of attracting dust like a kind of magnet. During the cleaning process, be sure to inspect all equipment and wipe it thoroughly with a dry cloth.
Dusting in this order will maximize cleaning performance. The use of additional products and aerosols will keep the furniture surface perfectly clean for a long time.
No one likes to wipe the dust. However, this must be done, because in just 6 months up to 5 kg of fine dirt can accumulate in a small room. When a person lives in such conditions, almost 80% of the protective resources of the immune system are wasted on the fight against dust.
Cleaning can be done using the following tools:
- Vacuum cleaner. This technique perfectly sucks up dust and dirt, but, unfortunately, cannot reach every remote corner of the room. In addition, the smallest dust particles freely pass through the vacuum cleaner and again settle on surfaces.
- Electric brushes – collect dust well, but they are inconvenient to use.
- A cloth is the best tool that can quickly and easily remove dust from any surface. You can make it yourself from several layers of gauze or buy it from the store. Modern manufacturers offer a large selection of microfiber, viscose and other fabrics for cleaning.
For reliable protection of furniture from dust, use polishes, antistatic agents, special impregnations. Be sure to read the instructions first, because some products are suitable only for a certain type of surface.
