How to create a cozy interior at no cost

To create a harmonious interior, it is not necessary to spend fabulous sums and buy up all the newfangled accessories. It is enough to follow these simple tips and then your home will definitely become the most stylish and comfortable.

To begin with, it should be clarified that the apartment should have a minimum of furniture. After all, even the largest room will look like an antique shop (not in the best times) if it is filled with furniture. Therefore, take a close look at your home and get rid of all unnecessary things. For a comfortable life, it is enough to leave only the basic set: a sofa, shelves (or shelves) for books, a comfortable chair (if the area of the apartment allows), a coffee table and a large roomy wardrobe. Arrange the pieces of furniture in such a way that it is convenient for you to move around the room without bumping into sharp corners each time.

Get rid of old newspapers and magazines. In the modern age of technology, all articles can be found on the Internet. So why store waste paper, which clutters up the space and is another place for the accumulation of dust ?!

Experts advise not to forget about one golden rule of a harmonious interior – the coffee table top should be 75% free. Therefore, choose models with boxes and remove everything unnecessary there. This also applies to the TV remote control. If, say, you have several of them, then store them in one of the drawers of the coffee table or in a resealable basket. This way you will always know where they are and will not waste time looking for them.

Designers recommend choosing an odd number of sofa pillows (three harmonious pillows for a small sofa and five pillows, of which two should be solid, for a large sofa).

Remember that multiple rugs will visually reduce the space. Therefore, for a small room, choose either one spectacular carpet or a plain laminate.

As for small open shelves, keep no more than three items on them (for example, vases in the same color scheme, differing only in shape). If you have books on your shelves, then follow another golden rule – 10% of the shelf should remain free.

It is also important to keep order in the kitchen. For example, frying pans and saucepans fill up cabinets quickly, and it is not always convenient to take them out. Therefore, place them above the stove on a railing or hang them on beautiful hooks. Also use the space under the kitchen plinth to store trays and baking sheets.

Don’t save up extra plastic. Leave only a few food containers of different sizes, and remove the rest so they don’t get in the way.

To get rid of a large amount of shampoos and gels that no longer fit on the sides of the bathroom, purchase a special hanging dispenser. This will save space and give your bathroom a cleaner look.

Detergents are best placed in transparent boxes and placed under the sink. So they will not get in the way under your feet, and it will become much more convenient to get the right product.
