– Pour the lentils into a colander and rinse thoroughly under running water;
– Pour twice as much liquid as the volume of lentils into a saucepan, it is cooked in a 2: 1 ratio, 2 parts water and one lentil;
– Place the lentils in already boiling water, let the water boil again and reduce the heat to medium;
– Cover the saucepan with a lid and cook the lentils until tender. The cooking time will range from 10 to 30 minutes, in any case, catch the grain and check it for readiness;
– Salt the lentils at the very end of its cooking, so it will cook faster.
