Coronavirus is transmitted by airborne droplets, therefore, if someone in the family is sick, the rest should prepare – spend at least two weeks in a confined space with a carrier of the infection.
The good news is that infection can be avoided in this case!
Russian scientist-immunologist, member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Institute of Philosophy of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Valery Chereshnev shared with
To begin with, the sick person must be isolated and given a separate sleeping place. At a minimum, this will provide a safe distance, and at a maximum, it will reduce the risk of infection from an accidental sneeze. Recall that the virus is transmitted by airborne droplets.
Also, the patient should have his own dishes, which should be rearranged from the rest and washed with another sponge. Naturally, with gloves.
The next rule is daily wet cleaning. Preferably with an antibacterial agent. If an infected person sneezes or coughs, wipe all surfaces around them.
If there are children in the apartment, do not let them be in the same room with the sick person. They are passive carriers of the virus.
Wear a mask to reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus. Yes, in the apartment. And do not forget: you need to change it every 2-4 hours and try not to touch it with your hands while wearing it.
The Ministry of Health reminds: home treatment is possible only if the patient has a separate room and undertakes to comply with all the doctor’s orders. Residents of hostels, communal apartments, as well as those who live with the elderly or people with chronic diseases, are hospitalized without fail, regardless of the degree of the disease.
