No, you won’t need a magic wand this time. Let’s say your room is no more than 8 square meters. It can be expanded visually with some design tricks. A too narrow room will seem more harmonious and wide if you add to the decor material that has stripes or any elements “across” the space. You can throw a striped rug on the floor, or paint the same stripes on one of the walls. And if you need to slightly raise the ceilings, on the contrary, you should use wallpaper with vertical stripes.
Much depends on the light. A room will really change for the better if the lighting in it is uniform. One large bright chandelier in the center of the ceiling is not a solution. It is better to use several lamps and sconces and distribute them correctly around the perimeter of the room. A good solution would be to place a floor lamp in one of the zones. It gives not only soft light, but also gives comfort, which is so important for babies.
Using the height of the room
Even if the room is very small, you need to use it to the maximum. If the cabinet is tall, if the shelves are from floor to ceiling. And the bed is necessarily a bunk bed with a large number of functional structures for storing things. In this case, there should be nothing cumbersome, which creates the opposite effect.
If there are two people in the same room, it will be better to decorate it in neutral colors to create a versatile space. Better to use light colors. Corner tables can be placed on different sides of the room. There are many special compact models for small rooms.
It is also possible to save space with a compact wall lamp, which will replace a bulky table lamp. And equip the table with large, convenient drawers in which you can hide anything you want. The bedside table is also not the most necessary thing. Anything that doesn’t fit into the drawers can be stored on a shelf or in a small hanging cabinet.
