Nowadays, more and more people have trouble planning and getting pregnant. So it’s worth knowing what has the greatest impact on our fertility. There are factors over which we have no influence, but we can successfully influence those that increase fertility.

Estrogen levels have a huge impact on a woman’s ability to get pregnant. He is responsible for our femininity. Numerous studies confirm that a 30% higher concentration of this hormone provides a 30% greater chance of getting pregnant. And it has been observed that women who have a relatively appropriate figure, i.e. waistline, wider hips and slightly larger breasts, show higher concentrations of this hormone.

Height has not been proven to affect fertility, but leg length certainly does. Longer legs – higher hormone levels. On the other hand, physical activity has an adverse effect on a woman’s chances of becoming pregnant, as it reduces estrogen levels. It’s like our body says, you work hard and get tired, it’s not a good time for you to have a baby. A study conducted at Harvard University found that 12 km of running a week significantly reduces fertility. If you want to get pregnant, you should give up jogging in the morning. However, do not treat it as a method of contraception J This applies to any physical activity, because our body does not distinguish between running and working in the field or in the supermarket. It is enough that he records energy expenditure, it is he who lowers the concentration of hormones. This brings us to the most important factor – nutrition. Nutrition alone during pregnancy is not enough to positively affect its development. Much more important is the fact how the mother ate and how much she weighed before pregnancy, as well as whether she was nourished as a child. Women who were malnourished in childhood may have great difficulty conceiving in adulthood.

Tea also significantly affects the level of hormones. Women who drink more tea have lower estrogen levels. So, does testosterone levels in men also affect their fertility? Well, no. Testosterone levels in men change under the influence of various types of events, which is completely different from progesterone or estrogen. This is best illustrated by an example of a match. Testosterone levels increase in both men before the match, in anticipation of the event, and after the win it continues to increase, while the loser’s decreases. But unfortunately, testosterone in men has very little effect on their fertility. Of course, it is necessary for a man to father offspring, but its concentration does not have to be high. It is also worth noting that stress also has no effect on hormones. It does not change their concentration, so it does not adversely affect the possibility of pregnancy, but has a huge impact on its maintenance and can cause miscarriage in the early stages of pregnancy.

So remember to take care of yourself always, not only before the planned pregnancy, it is important that you and your partner eat and live healthily, not only for the future pregnancy but also for yourself.
