How and where to paint things at home
Knowing how to paint things can give new life to a faded and discolored T-shirt or T-shirt. If done correctly, the item will look like new.
How to properly paint things at home
First of all, you need to decide on the type of fabric. Clothes made from natural fabrics can be dyed evenly and easily. Synthetic fabrics do not dye well, and the color comes out slightly lighter than expected.
The main thing is to choose the right shade. Don’t try to dye your pink sweater blue. The shade should be several shades darker than the original color of the thing, only then the paint will lay down well. Therefore, it is best to paint a pink jacket in cherry or raspberry color.
Staining procedure:
- Moisten a clean thing in warm water.
- Wear gloves to protect your skin from chemicals.
- Open the container with the dye and dissolve its contents in warm water according to the instructions.
- Strain the solution into an enamel container, add 2 tbsp. l. salt and stir. Dilute with water.
- Put on the stove and bring the solution to a hot state. Dip the compressed thing into the water with the dye.
- Turn off the heat and stir the thing in the solution for 20-25 minutes.
- Take out the painted item and rinse in warm and then cold water. Rinse until the water stains.
- Dip the item in a bowl with a solution of water and vinegar, rinse well and rinse with cold running water.
Dry the painted thing in natural conditions.
Manual painting is laborious. To do this, you need a large enamel bucket in which you can dye your clothes. It is much easier to paint things in a typewriter.
Dyeing process:
- Prepare the solution and pour it into the drum instead of the powder.
- Set the temperature to 60 ° C, remove the soaking mode and turn it on.
- Rinse the item in a bowl of water and vinegar.
- Start washing in an empty machine to remove any remaining dye inside.
Immediately after such a procedure, it is undesirable to machine wash white clothes.
Freshly painted items must not be dried in direct sunlight. At first, these clothes need to be washed separately and rinsed with a vinegar solution each time. After three to four washing times, shedding will stop.
Dyeing clothes at home is always a risk, as the result may be unexpected. But if only this can save the thing and give it a new life, then why not take the risk.
