Gastronomic tourism in the Balearic Islands

Leisure, vacations and gastronomic tourism go more and more hand in hand even in the summer season.

Everyone knows that the Balearic Islands enjoy beach tourism and fun. These two types are recognized as Protected Geographical Indication. (PGI).

Gastronomy of the Pitiusas

If we fly to the island of Ibiza we find delicious dishes created from fish, shellfish and products from the garden that the island itself provides. Despite being a carnivorous dish, one of the most recognized is the sofrit pagès. It is a stew made from meat, potatoes, vegetables and the island’s own sausage, that is, sobrasada and sausage.
