Fried mussels with tomato sauce

Fried mussels are not the easiest dish to prepare, but their taste is amazing. And tomatoes successfully set it off, make it even richer and more seductive. To prepare this dish, you will need the following products: – 500 grams of mussels; – 2 eggs; – 5-6 tomatoes; – a clove of garlic; – lemon; – 1 tablespoon flour; – 100 grams of milk; – 1 tablespoon of bread crumbs; – 6 tablespoons of butter; – 1 tablespoon of sugar; – seasoning for seafood; – salt; – ground black pepper.

Rinse the mussels thoroughly under running water, then put them in a saucepan, cover with water and put on a small flame. Soon, the shells will open and the meat itself will become soft. Once this has happened, place the pot under cold water to make it easier for you to handle the sinks. Separate the meat and place on a plate.

Beat eggs until frothy. Add milk, salt to them and mix thoroughly. First, moisten the mussels in an egg and milk, and then roll in a mixture of wheat flour and bread crumbs.

Peel the garlic and chop it. Cut the lemon and squeeze the juice from both halves, put the garlic in it. Put the mussel meat in a heated frying pan and fry with three tablespoons of butter.

Grate the tomatoes on a coarse grater and boil them over low heat for fifteen minutes. Add the remaining three tablespoons of butter, a mixture of lemon and garlic, sugar, salt, seasonings to the resulting mass. Mix thoroughly.
