How to get rid of fleas from an animal
Despite the fact that there are many drugs on the market to combat parasites, you can destroy them with the help of home recipes. Folk remedies for fleas are no less numerous and absolutely safe for both the animal itself and those around it. The most famous of them is tar soap, with the use of which it is necessary to bathe the animal, and then comb out the fleas from the wool. It is recommended to complete the bathing by rinsing the animal with water with apple cider vinegar diluted in it in a ratio of 1 part of acid to 2 parts of liquid. All wool is rinsed with the solution, except for the animal’s muzzle.
Another method of dealing with fleas is by sprinkling lemon-scented water over the coat. To obtain it, 5 pre-chopped lemons are brought to a boil in a liter of water. When the infusion has cooled, it must be filtered, poured into a spray bottle and applied to the wool twice a day. In the head area, the product is applied by hand, avoiding the eye area. In order to increase the effectiveness of the product, you can add a few drops of essential oils of citrus, eucalyptus, tea tree or others with a pronounced odor to it.
Recipes for fleas living in the apartment
When measures for the destruction of fleas on the wool are taken, it is necessary to process the room in which the animal lived, since the fleas are quite mobile and can move along the floor. To destroy them, the floor should be rinsed with water with a chlorine-containing agent dissolved in it. Also, vinegar is used as an additive to water, the smell of which the parasites do not like.
The rest of the surfaces can be treated from a spray bottle with an infusion of wormwood, eucalyptus and tansy, which are taken in equal proportions in the amount of 2 tsp, filled with a glass of boiling water and infused for at least 10 hours. The pungent smell of these plants scares off parasites. The essential oils of these plants have similar properties.
