Fern fern male: description
The male shieldworm is a plant whose fiery flower must be found on the night of Ivan Kupala in order to gain power and wealth. This sprawling fern from Russian epics is used in medicine and is used to decorate plots.
Description of male shieldworm
The bushwort is a perennial plant that has a wide oblique rhizome. On the ground part of the root, there is a rosette from which massive leaves emerge. Their height can reach 1 m. The frond leaves are collected in a dense bunch. Ripe fronds are erect, bipinnate.
In the male shieldworm, the leaves of the second year of development are rolled into a snail
The fern has a difficult development cycle, each leaf grows for 3 years:
- the first year, it forms a small ring at the base of the rosette;
- for the second summer, the young leaf is rolled into a spiral;
- the third year is marked by a full-fledged open leaf.
In the last year, spores have formed on the back of the frond, with the help of which the fern reproduces.
How to use the male shieldworm
The roots of the thyme are used in medicine. The toxic substances phloroglucins contained in them are part of the preparations for tapeworms. In folk medicine, it is customary to harvest the rhizome and use a decoction from it. In addition to the anthelmintic effect, decoctions are used for stomach pain, nervous disorders and diarrhea.
However, it must be understood that the roots of the fern contain a poisonous substance. Its action paralyzes the muscular system of parasites. Poisoning with this poison can cause seizures, vomiting and central nervous system paralysis in a person with chronic diseases. You can use such a decoction only on the recommendation and under the supervision of a doctor.
