Features of winter makeup: video

Environmental conditions have a direct impact on the skin of the face, for which a humid mild climate is best suited. However, the harsh winters inherent in our climatic zone mercilessly dry the skin, causing it to peel and form defects. The best protection for the skin in such a difficult period will be appropriate makeup.

In addition to its decorative function, winter make-up should provide the skin with care and reliable protection from the harsh climate.

In winter, not only wind and frost have a negative effect on the skin, but also dry indoor air. As a result, the dermis rapidly loses moisture and dries up, which leads to the formation of fine wrinkles. Therefore, in winter, it is important to choose a tonal foundation for the face containing moisturizing components.

In winter, it is better to use foundation without oil-free labeling. Such products have a denser structure that reliably tones and protects the skin from harsh weather. Keep in mind that in winter the skin is somewhat lighter than in summer, so the foundation should be one tone lighter than the natural skin color.

Also, just before application, you can add a few drops of water to the foundation. If you use powder, moisturize your face with thermal or mineral water a few minutes before using it.

Prolonged exposure to extreme cold leads to constriction of the blood vessels. In the integument of unprotected skin, metabolism decreases, blood supply deteriorates, skin nutrition is disturbed, it becomes pale, dry and lethargic

In the cold, the cheeks are covered with a natural blush, so in winter, blush is best used only to emphasize the line of the cheekbones. This will help prevent the matryoshka effect that occurs when natural redness is applied to makeup. Use a creamy blush in winter.

In winter, it is permissible to use bronzing blush. They should be one tone darker than the skin color. Blend the product on the cheekbones in a circular motion with a wide brush. Also pay attention to your nose, chin and forehead – the areas that naturally tan in the first place. You can apply a simple blush on top.

The skin of the lips is especially sensitive to external influences, so they need special care in winter. When choosing a lipstick for cold weather, pay attention to the content of moisturizing ingredients and vitamins. Remember that in winter you need to apply cosmetics to your lips in several stages. First, apply a thick layer of balm that will protect and care. Then cover your lips with lipstick and only then with lip gloss.

Wear lipsticks in warm colors in winter, which will contrast perfectly with pale skin. These are mahogany colors, red, coffee, mocha, caramel, rich wine. Keep in mind that lipstick on chapped and frostbitten lips is an unpleasant sight. Therefore, exfoliate your lips regularly.

The color scheme of traditional eye makeup for the winter is made up of deep dark purple, brown, mossy, wine and dark gray tones. Leave the bright floral shades for the summer. Also, avoid using cold pastel shades in winter. If you don’t want to give up your favorite summer shade, mix it with brown eyeshadow to add depth and saturation to the former.
