Trends

No: hair “like from the salon.” People no longer strive to be fashionable and have perfect styling. The reason for this is global changes in consciousness: body positivity, personalization, self-acceptance. If earlier we leafed through magazines and tried to match the pictures, now, out of a million ideas, we choose the one that matches us. There is no “actual” and “irrelevant” – there is you and your image. For example, smooth low tails by themselves are difficult to call a trend, but if you wear business suits, you have the role of a collected person, then this styling will become part of the DNA of your image.

Yes: natural… Zoomers – progressive youth – specifically want to look unkempt. We strive for natural textures, asymmetries. The less visible the hand of the master on the head, the better.

Stacking

No: deliberate. Earlier, after a haircut, when styling girls’ hair, the masters taught them to twist curls with a curling iron. Today we are not showing tools, but products: what to apply to enhance the natural texture of the hair. We are moving away from the correct curls, weaves, because this is all styling and evidence that you spent a lot of time styling. And the opposite effect is needed.

Yes: natural texture. The more natural, broken, strange, imperfect it is, the better. It’s like you just washed your hair, dried it and went. Or maybe they didn’t even wash. You can collect cool “texture” tails. Now the hairstyle can be supplemented with accessories, for example, scarves, which will become part of your bow.

Haircuts

No: long hair It is impossible to say unequivocally: “This is not fashionable.” Rather, long hair today is a person’s calling card, and not an attempt to get into a trend. There are heroes that we cannot imagine with a short haircut, such as Angelina Jolie. This is part of her image. However, in this case, long hair should be well-groomed, healthy, and shiny. And it is important that all this matches with the image and clothing.

Yes: short, medium, just below the shoulders If we talk about what is in demand, it is rather short and medium length hair. These haircuts look like you made them yourself: a little school-like, with an element of amateur performance. For example:

  • Pixie haircut. Moving away from perfectly polished temples and the back of the head, we create the effect of regrown hair. A good example is model Agness Dein with her tousled, slightly odd haircut.

  • Long hair at the back and short temples. This option is very much in demand among young people, especially in the States.

  • Shaggy, but even more layered and with bangs.

  • Bangs: it is not a supersymmetric contour, an imperfect shape. It looks like you cut it off yourself.

  • Strands around the face, like in the 2000s… They are not only cut short, but also highlighted with coloring (for example, the ends are lightened).
