Use our simple tips to relieve eye strain
1. While working at the computer, make sure that the monitor screen is at a distance of 50-70 cm from your eyes. Wipe the display regularly to remove dust from fingerprints that can reduce image clarity. Install lights so that light does not bounce off the display.
2. Pause every twenty minutes and look at the object farthest from you for twenty seconds. Take a break at least once every two to three hours to walk a little and give your eyes a break from the monitor. And don’t forget to blink more often when working at your computer!
3. Install humidifiers at work and at home. Use eye drops regularly, called artificial tears, to combat dryness and burning.
4. Pay attention to how you eat. It may make sense to supplement your diet with foods that contain vitamin A, which is essential for healthy eyes and vision. Include blueberries, apricots, carrots, cabbage, rose hips, eggs, cod liver on the menu.
5. Get enough sleep. In the evenings, apply a towel dampened with warm or cool water to your eyes. Before bed, apply warm chamomile, linden or sage compresses to tired eyes. Take care of your morning routine: Soak black or green tea bags in hot water and freeze them. When you wake up, gently rub your eyelids with this refreshing ice tea.
6. Lotions from cornflower infusion perfectly relieve eye strain. Pour boiling water over two teaspoons of dried flowers, leave for half an hour, then strain. Soak cotton pads in a warm solution and apply to inflamed eyelids for 15-20 minutes.
Of course, there is not always enough time and energy to practice traditional methods of treating eye fatigue. In this case, you can use pharmaceutical preparations that relieve the symptoms of fatigue within a few minutes after use. But remember that these are emergency remedies, before using which you must definitely consult with your pharmacist or ophthalmologist!
